SAN JOSE \u2014 One person died in a house fire early Wednesday morning, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The blaze, which broke out around 4:30 a.m. on the 1200 block of Sylvia Drive, also injured another person, according to a social media post from the San Jose Fire Department. The injured person was transported to the hospital.<\/p>\n
The identity of the deceased person will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner\u2019s Office pending positive identification.<\/p>\n
Firefighters responded to the fire and had it knocked down at 5:13 a.m., authorities said.<\/p>\n
The fire was located in a single-family residence and did not spread to any nearby structures, authorities added. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
The Red Cross responded to the scene to provide assistance to the displaced residents of the house, including three adults and two dogs, authorities said.<\/p>\n
