LOS ANGELES >> Kodansha House, a recurring pop-up space where visitors can experience the worlds of popular manga published by Kodansha Ltd., opened in Los Angeles July 2 to 12, drawing manga fans from across the United States.<\/p>\n

The pop-up coincided with Anime Expo, the largest anime event in North America that ran July 2 to 5 in L.A.<\/p>\n

While the FIFA World Cup was underway across the three host nations \u2014 U.S., Canada and Mexico \u2014 of North America, a section dedicated to the popular soccer manga \u201cBlue Lock\u201d attracted lots of attention. In another area devoted to \u201cAttack on Titan,\u201d the hit manga depicting humanity\u2019s battle against giants, visitors posed for photos as if they had become Titans themselves.<\/p>\n

The venue, which has also popped up in New York City, is designed to showcase Kodansha\u2019s manga titles in North America, where Japanese manga culture has made significant inroads.<\/p>\n

Kodansha is one of the largest manga publishers globally.<\/p>\n

According to Kodansha, about 4,000 people visited the space each day.<\/p>\n
