(KGET) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office identified a 17-year-old girl who was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Union Avenue on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Love Icelyn Dixon, 17, of Bakersfield was struck by a vehicle in the 3400 block of Union Avenue at around 10:45 p.m. July 18, according to the coroner\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kget.com\/news\/local-news\/1-dead-after-hit-and-run-on-union-ave-bpd\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tRELATED: 1 dead after hit-and-run on Union Ave\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Officers arrived to find Dixon in the roadway with injuries. She was taken to Kern Medical where she was pronounced dead at 11:08 p.m., officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The driver immediately fled the scene after the crash, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>According to investigators, Dixon exited a vehicle which was stopped in the #1 lane of northbound Union Avenue. She was struck by a vehicle traveling north in the #2 lane.<\/p>\n<p>Speed is not believed to be a factor in the crash and it is unknown if intoxication was involved.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact BPD at 661-327-7111.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
