Earlier this month, the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> signed Collin Sexton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former Alabama star is coming off a year where he spent time with the Charlotte Hornets<\/a> and Chicago Bulls<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He had averages of 15.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 48.5% from the field and 40.1% from three-point range in 68 games.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania wrote (on July 1):<\/a> \u201cFree agent Collin Sexton has agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell ESPN.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sexton was the 8th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Bulls and Hornets, he has also spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Utah Jazz over eight seasons in the NBA.<\/p>\n

The Lakers wrote (via X) on July 12:<\/a> \u201cBringing the energy to LA. Welcome to the Lake Show, Collin \ud83d\udc9b\u201d<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old has career averages of 18.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest while shooting 47.2% from the field and 38.9% from three-point range in 475 games.<\/p>\n

He has yet to appear in an NBA playoff game.<\/p>\n
