(KGET) \u2014 Officials are responding to a gas leak on Coffee Road near Stockdale Highway Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Fire Department received the call for the incident on Coffee Road near Stockdale Highway at around 9:40 a.m. July 23.<\/p>\n<p>It was a natural gas leak, according to city officials.<\/p>\n<p>Coffee Road between Stockdale Highway and Truxtun Avenue are being blocked, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Two engines and a hazmat unit are responding to the scene, along with a battalion chief.<\/p>\n<p>Check back for updates.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
