(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 12 inmates requested to be checked out at a hospital after KCSO\u2019s transportation bus backed into a pole Friday morning in downtown Bakersfield.<\/p>\n<p>The Kern County Sheriff\u2019s Office said on Friday, July 24, 2026, at around 8:30 a.m., a KCSO transportation bus was involved in a single-vehicle crash on L and 20th streets in downtown Bakersfield.<\/p>\n<p>KCSO said the transportation bus backed into a pole.<\/p>\n<p>According to KCSO, there were no visible or obvious injuries.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"12 inmates requested to be checked out at a hospital after KCSO\u2019s transportation bus backed into a pole Friday morning in downtown Bakersfield.
