The pitcher reportedly signed with the <a data-autotag=\"0b0e199f-7ea3-4920-a9f1-2be8047f1198\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/baseball\/mlb\/teams\/san-francisco-giants\/250\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">San Francisco Giants<\/a> on Friday, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JonathanMayo\/status\/2080770202527010962?s=20\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The deal is reportedly worth $3,247,500, well above the slot value of the 55th pick, which was worth $1,763,000. He was FSU&#8217;s top-ranked pitcher commit and is their second high school commit who has turned pro and will not make it to Tallahassee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">He had an excellent senior season at Jesuit High School, going 6-3 with a 1.15 ERA in 61 innings. He allowed 16 runs on 34 hits and 15 walks, holding opponents to a .159 batting average and striking out 82 batters. Waechter finished his prep career 13-5 with a 1.01 ERA in 104 1\/3 innings, striking out 135 batters and walking 28. Opponents hit .154 off him and had just two home runs in 370 at-bats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Landon Thome, FSU&#8217;s top position player commitment, is also turning pro and signed an above-slot deal with the <a data-autotag=\"55b6a514-77ca-4a4d-b776-5f3788d1910c\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/baseball\/mlb\/teams\/minnesota-twins\/233\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Minnesota Twins<\/a>.
