{"id":412445,"date":"2026-07-26T00:29:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-26T00:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/412445\/"},"modified":"2026-07-26T00:29:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-26T00:29:08","slug":"1-teen-killed-1-injured-by-hit-and-run-driver-in-lawndale-la-county-deputies-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/412445\/","title":{"rendered":"1 teen killed, 1 injured by hit-and-run driver in Lawndale, LA County deputies say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Los Angeles County deputies are still searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed one teenager and left another injured earlier this week in Lawndale.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DbKDYGrJfH0\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">news release<\/a> shared on social media, deputies with the South Los Angeles Station said that the crash happened on Monday, July 20 at around 10:15 p.m. in the 4200 block of Rosecrans Avenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, they learned that a vehicle had collided with juveniles, one of whom was riding an e-scooter and one who was riding an e-bike.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The juvenile riding the e-scooter was pronounced deceased at the scene,&#8221; deputies said.
