A trans man who neighbors said lived under the watch of round-the-clock caregivers has been accused of killing his mother after she was found dead inside a Laguna Beach home, authorities and witnesses said.<\/p>\n
Police responded to a home on the 1300 block of Dunning Drive at around 11 a.m. Monday and found Angela Caprioli, 61, of Maine, dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, her son Safford Wolfson, 36, was arrested on suspicion of murder. <\/p>\n
Police said the killing appears to be domestic and a motive remains unclear.<\/p>\n
Neighbor Dustin Pettit told The California Post that he witnessed the pair involved in a tense argument at the home before the alleged killing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI saw her outside talking with him and it seemed like a pretty hostile conversation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe turned around and went inside and slammed the door, like she was fed up with whatever was going on. I was like, \u2018What the hell is going on here?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Facebook\/Safford James Wolfson<\/p>\n An X account bearing Wolfson\u2019s name describes the account owner as a \u201ctrans girl looking for fun in LA,\u201d while a TikTok account associated with the suspect includes several videos showing Wolfson dancing in dresses, miniskirts, crop tops and underwear.<\/p>\n Wolfson\u2019s LinkedIn profile says he co-founded Kevin\u2019s House LLC, a Southern California dual-diagnosis sober living and assisted adult care facility that provides services for people facing mental health challenges. <\/p>\n Caprioli describes herself as the founder of Kevin\u2019s House on her Facebook profile.<\/p>\n Police have not announced a motive.
