(CNS) &#8212; The Los Angeles Fire Department identified a firefighter who was killed in an off-duty crash on the 605 Freeway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The firefighter was identified as Stan Reza, according to a <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LosAngelesFireDepartment\/posts\/pfbid02H5G3FjWCWk7gqdS2gsJWvmXH7rpjtCX4hmjSBjBtmFU8stPvHTYyvYrujTPKCNUPl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">department Facebook post.<\/a> Reza, 35, was a three-year member of the department. His city of residence was not provided, and the post did not include a photo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The crash was reported about 2:20 a.m. Friday on the northbound 605 Freeway near Beverly Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which is investigating. The pickup truck Reza was driving collided with a big rig.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Reza died at the scene from blunt traumatic injuries in an accident, the Medical Examiner&#8217;s office revealed Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;Our thoughts are with the firefighter&#8217;s family and with every member of this department who is grieving alongside them,&#8221; LAFD Chief Jaime Moore said. &#8220;The department asked the public and media to keep the members, family, friends and fellow firefighters in their thoughts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Service and memorial arrangements will be shared once finalized, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">Copyright 2026, City News Service, Inc.<br class=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 by City News Service, Inc.
