SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — A body found in the water<\/a> just west of the Golden Gate Bridge over the weekend has been identified as one of the victims in the Volare boating disaster in the San Francisco bay.<\/p>\n

She has been identified as Carol Boisa, 74, of Sacramento County, according to the San Francisco Medical Examiner on Monday.<\/p>\n

The recovery was made Saturday near Point Diablo in Marin County.<\/p>\n

Boisa was onboard the Volare on July 14 when the boat was hit by a wave, capsized and sunk near Alcatraz.<\/p>\n

Authorities said 20 passengers were on the boat who were going to attend a memorial service.<\/p>\n

Sixteen people were rescued.<\/p>\n

The tragedy claimed the lives of 79-year-old Clifford Boisa and 58-year-old Tondra Madruga. A dog also died in the tragic sinking.<\/p>\n

“I love Clifford with all my heart. The loss of him is a crushing anguish.” A Northern California family is grieving the loss of one loved one and holding onto memories of three others after the U.S. Coast Guard suspended its search Wednesday for survivors.<\/p>\n

Carol is the sister of Clifford Boisa. The body of Clifford’s wife, Jackie, has still been unaccounted for.<\/p>\n
