BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 A motorcyclist suffered severe injuries after a crash late Monday night on Alfred Harrell Highway near Hart Park.<\/p>\n
The California Highway Patrol said on Monday, July 27, 2026, at around 11:04 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Alfred Harrell Highway and Lily Drive for a report of a solo-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.<\/p>\n
CHP said a 19-year-old man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Alfred Harrell Highway at the intersection with Lily Drive.<\/p>\n
For reasons still under investigation, the rider of the Kawasaki lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a raised concrete curb.<\/p>\n
CHP said the crash caused the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle. The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was taken to Kern Medical.<\/p>\n
