(FOX26) \u2014 Fresno Unified\u2019s summer dual enrollment program filled up fast this year, with enrollment reaching capacity within five days of opening.<\/p>\n<p>Fresno Unified has offered summer dual enrollment courses for the past three years. <\/p>\n<p>Through its long-standing partnership with Fresno City College, the district hosted the 2026 Summer on Campus program for 357 students, an increase of 112 students from last summer.<\/p>\n<p>Overall enrollment across all 13 courses was more than 92%.<\/p>\n<p>The five-week session included transportation and nutrition services provided by Fresno Unified. <\/p>\n<p>The program was designed to ensure students had access to breakfast and lunch while taking rigorous college courses. <\/p>\n<p>[RELATED] <a href=\"https:\/\/kmph.com\/features\/fresno-county-superstar\/alisha-melgoza-named-superintendents-superstar-for-july\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Alisha Melgoza named Superintendent\u2019s Superstar for July <\/a><\/p>\n<p>The district also provided necessary college textbooks and other supplies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeeing the success of our summer programs shows our students are eager to challenge themselves and take advantage of opportunities that prepare them for the future,\u201d Superintendent Misty Her said. \u201cEvery college course completed while in high school brings our students one step closer to achieving their college and career readiness goals.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRESNO, Calif.
