The intruder sifted through the Bakersfield sweet spot in the middle of the night.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1120\" height=\"629\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Just-Cinnamon-burglary.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3092361 amp-wp-0a60819\" \/>An identified person broke into Just Cinnamon, located at the corner of Rosedale Highway and Calloway Drive, on July 28, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was looking for something,\u201d Just Cinnamon co-owner Genie Ambriz said. \u201cI don\u2019t know if he thought we had money or valuables or what. I felt like \u2013 what are you doing? What are you looking for? There is nothing there for you. I mean, leave\u2026 this is not your space \u2013 and you have no right to be in our space. And it\u2019s just like \u2013 get out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Just Cinnamon is located at 9701 Rosedale Highway, at the corner of Rosedale Highway and Calloway Drive. While Ambriz was born and raised in Bakersfield, the brick-and-mortar location is brand new to the area. It opened in July after two years of selling the rolls at local farmers\u2019 markets.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1120\" height=\"629\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Just-cinnamon-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3092369 amp-wp-68e5c05\" \/>Just Cinnamon in Bakersfield, Calif., is known for its tasty treats and selling out of them daily.<\/p>\n<p>The small business has gained <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/just.cinnnamon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">thousands of followers on social media<\/a>, selling out cinnamon rolls daily. Although the burglar didn\u2019t get away with much, she said property crime is par for the course.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is just evidence of something that is happening all over town with many local businesses, and I mean it was bound to happen to us,\u201d Ambriz said. <\/p>\n<p>A report was filed with the Kern County Sheriff\u2019s Office, but so far, no arrests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery business owner is here trying to fulfill a goal \u2013 a dream. Or make a living for themselves and for the staff they carry,\u201d Ambriz said. \u201cWe\u2019re just trying to make our community bigger and better and offer things that you know you don\u2019t have to drive out of town to get. It\u2019s unfortunate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>17 News caught a customer who stopped by Tuesday afternoon to grab a cinnamon roll while the store was closed. She said she wasn\u2019t surprised by the break-in, but was motivated to come back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI definitely do want to support them,\u201d said Just Cinnamon customer Corrine Rojo. \u201cI\u2019m definitely coming back.
