A California man is in custody in Mississippi on a federal charge accusing him of sending a direct message over social media threatening to kill Jackson County Chancery Judge Ashlee Cole<\/a>, according to records filed in the case.<\/p>\n

Joseph Alfredo Vasquez Dumarce, of Sacramento, is being held on a federal charge of interstate transmission of a threatening communication, a crime that carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to three years of post-release supervision.<\/p>\n

Agents with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force identified Dumarce, who used the username \u201cyaeyae962,\u201d by tracing email IP addresses associated with the account, including moneybagiojo1916@gmail.com, along with a date of birth, phone number and street addresses linked to the account.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the information resulted in the identity of Dumarce as the user behind the \u201cyaeyae962\u201d account that sent the messages to Cole.<\/p>\n

The charging document also cited one of the many messages Dumarce sent to Cole, including some previously cited by Cole that included threats with pictures of her children.<\/p>\n

The document also cited some of the messages, including the following:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be a package coming to your guys office in the next few days.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s gonna blow you away when you see it. LoL. probably best to have the boys there to see as well.<\/p>\n

Blood.<\/p>\n

So much blood everywhere.<\/p>\n

Hard to clean.<\/p>\n

Especially from a boat.<\/p>\n

But yours will be quick I promise.<\/p>\n

I got all you info.<\/p>\n

Not even the FBI can stop this.<\/p>\n

Once that package is opened, the timer will start.<\/p>\n

And then you have maybe 10 seconds or less to ask God for forgiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other messages allegedly threatened that Cole\u2019s sons \u201care going to be strangled.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dumarce in 2019 was arrested by the Sacramento Police Department on suspicion of exposing himself to and then attempting to kidnap a 13-year-old girl outside an elementary school, according to the Sacramento Bee.<\/p>\n

According to an entry in Megan\u2019s Law, California\u2019s sex offender registry, Dumarce was convicted in 2019 of annoying or molesting a child under 18 years of age and in 2020 of sending harmful matter with the intent of seducing a minor. He was released from prison in California in 2023, according to the registry, and he is listed as being a transient in Sacramento.<\/p>\n

Federal authorities said the direct messages were sent to Cole\u2019s Facebook account in the aftermath of the disappearance and subsequent death of Nolan Xavier Wells,<\/a> 18, of Ocean Springs.<\/p>\n

Cole\u2019s stepson, Warren Hudson, was among the group of friends who spent the Fourth of July with Wells on Horn Island.<\/p>\n

Hudson was on one of three boats that traveled to the island with Wells. The friends returned to the mainland without Wells but had his cellphone.<\/p>\n

Two days later, a National Park Service ranger found Wells\u2019 body on the northwest tip of Horn Island. Hudson has denied any involvement in his friend\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, Dumarce is among multiple people accused of sending threats to Cole and her family.<\/p>\n

Dr. Benjamin Hudson, Cole\u2019s husband, has said the family has received thousands of death threats since Wells disappeared and was later found dead.<\/p>\n

Following Wells\u2019 death, his parents, Elmore and Christine Wonsley, hired civil rights attorney Ben Crump to conduct an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding their son\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

The Jackson County Sheriff\u2019s Department is leading the death investigation with assistance from local, state and federal agencies. Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter said the investigation remains active and ongoing.<\/p>\n
