The KCRA 3 weather team is issuing an Impact Day for Friday because of how the heat could affect outdoor activities. Those prone to heat-related illness or who work outdoors should also take extra steps to stay cool and hydrated. <\/p>\n
Northern California forecast temperatures<\/p>\n
Valley highs: 97-102<\/p>\n
Foothills highs: 95-99<\/p>\n
Temperatures will cool into the low 60s to low 70s for Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
KCRA 3 Weather Impact Days: Friday-Tuesday<\/p>\n
Plan ahead for the heat. Take precautions daily:Get outside early, before noonStay hydratedWear light-colored, loose-fitted clothingAvoid the peak heat of the day between 3-6 p.m.<\/p>\n
Heat will impact the Sacramento Valley and surrounding Foothills through the weekend and until at least Aug. 4.<\/p>\n
Northern California air quality<\/p>\n
Skies may look hazy at times with some particle pollution due to a wildfire burning in Sonoma County. <\/p>\n
Air quality could be in the range of moderate to unhealthy as the onshore flow increases this evening, funneling smoke into the Delta and Sacramento County.<\/p>\n
