{"id":419899,"date":"2026-07-31T19:51:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T19:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/419899\/"},"modified":"2026-07-31T19:51:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T19:51:08","slug":"sharks-re-sign-graf-san-jose-hockey-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/419899\/","title":{"rendered":"Sharks Re-Sign Graf | San Jose Hockey Now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Collin Graf contract was \u201cpretty close\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s what San Jose Sharks GM <a href=\"https:\/\/sanjosehockeynow.com\/san-jose-sharks-graf-smith-grier-contract\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Grier<\/a> said on Wednesday, after Macklin Celebrini\u2019s extension.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And now, Graf has re-signed with the Sharks for three years and $12.75 million ($4.25 million AAV).<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hashtag\/SJSharks?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">#SJSharks<\/a> signed 23 y\/o Collin Graf to 3 year $4.25M Cap Hit deal.<\/p>\n<p>He was an RFA without offer sheet eligibility (10.2c).<\/p>\n<p>Contract is $4.25M salary each season. We\u2019re happy we are able to keep him a Shark for the next several seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The RFA winger enjoyed a breakout season, scoring 21 goals and 46 points. The 23-year-old also played just over 200 minutes short-handed, which led the San Jose Sharks up front, and was seventh among NHL forwards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Graf\u2019s AAV fits with comps discussed by Hart Levine of Puckpedia in the most recent episode of the San Jose Hockey Now Podcast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Graf will be 26 and still an RFA when this contract expires in 2029.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The San Jose Sharks signed Graf out of Quinnipiac in Apr. 2024.
