BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 Drivers traveling between Highway 99 and Highway 58 in Bakersfield should plan for extra time and detours Monday night as crews install bridge signs, according to the city.<\/p>\n

The Ming Avenue on-ramp for northbound Highway 99 to the westbound Highway 58 on-ramp is scheduled to close overnight from 8 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2026, to 5 a.m. Tuesday as part of the 7th Movement of the Centennial Corridor.<\/p>\n

During the closure, drivers will be detoured to northbound Wible Road. From Ming Avenue, drivers will continue north on Wible Road\/Oak Street to California Avenue, turn left (west) on California Avenue, then enter the northbound Highway 99 on-ramp.<\/p>\n

Also Monday night, multiple lanes on northbound Highway 99 are scheduled to close for bridge sign work. The No. 4 lane is set to close at 9 p.m., followed by the No. 3 and No. 2 lanes at 11 p.m. All three lanes are expected to reopen at 6 a.m., officials said.<\/p>\n
