How to Watch Los Angeles Sparks vs. Portland Fire on Sunday, August 2

The action begins Sunday afternoon, when the Portland Fire host the Los Angeles Sparks at 3:30 p.m. ET, live on NBC and Peacock. Michael Grady will call the action for NBC Sports, with analysis from LaChina Robinson and courtside reporting from Jordan Cornette.

The Sparks, led by stars Nneka Ogwumike and Cameron Brink, have been on a slide recently, in part because they’re without veteran star Kelsey Plum. Plum’s injury issues could be at least partially cleared up by Sunday, clearing a path for her return. But even with the WNBA legend on their squad, the Sparks will have at tough time.

The Fire, in their inaugural season, are led by 2024 first round pick Carla Leite, who’s been helping Portland establish their own team identity. They’re still in the hunt for a spot in the playoffs if a few things break their way, so they’ll definitely try to take advantage of having the home court here.

How to Watch Las Vegas Aces vs. Atlanta Dream on Monday, August 3

The WNBA action continues Monday evening live on Peacock, when the Las Vegas Aces visit the Atlanta Dream in a showdown between two of The W’s very best squads. That game streams live Monday at 7 p.m. ET, with Noah Eagle on play-by-play, analysis by Sarah Kustok, and courtside reporting from Caroline Pineda.

Though the Minnesota Lynx have a firm grip on the top seed in the WNBA Playoffs right now, the Aces aren’t far behind. Led by multi-MVP-winner A’ja Wilson, who’s also the league’s leading scorer, they’re a major force. But if anyone can slow them down, it’s Angel Reese and the Dream. In her first season in Atlanta, Reese has proven to be a major defensive force, as one of the league’s top rebounders and a key player in a well-oiled basketball machine. The Dream aren’t in a prime playoff position like the Aces at the moment, but they are very much a postseason team if they hold steady, and home court advantage could be the extra push they need to pull off the upset here.

We’re beyond the halfway point in the 2026 WNBA season, which means everyone’s thinking about playoffs.
