The tool lets users compare school sites and districts’ performance and demographics data. The tool can be accessed through Parsec’s website.

Clarity Lite displays information gathered from state education databases, including student demographics, assessment performance and college and career readiness, among others. The tool also has options for users to compare counties, schools and districts by types and specify levels of enrollment and demographics.

Babatunde Ilori, CEO of Parsec, said his hope is for education leaders and site administrators to use the tool to be more informed about their schools’ data and the reality it reflects.

“The whole idea is to not just be data rich, but be data informed, like you’re gonna allow yourself to make sense of all these pieces of data in ways that actually improve student outcomes,” Ilori said in an interview with Fresnoland.

Ilori also explained that while parents may run into a learning curve while using the tool due to state education system jargon, he said that those familiar with the education system could use the tool to compare against schools of similar sizes and demographics.

“Data transparency is key here and I think sometimes people fear data because maybe their results aren’t where they want it to be,” Ilori said, adding, “but how do you get results to where you want them to be? You have to be honest, and you have to look at the data in a way that allows you to leverage it to make those improvements.”

Ryan Royer, Parsec’s technical solutions specialist, said that the tool’s ability to compare schools and districts through state data and user specified conditions can allow for a better understanding of where investments can be made for student success.

“When you start adjusting for demographics, a different story starts to happen, and that is where that equity lens comes in,” Royer said.

This article first appeared on Fresnoland and is republished here under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.

by Diego Vargas, Fresnoland August 3, 2026 A new online tool that compiles state data allows educators and…

[31
112,114,113
post-422934","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-fresno","tag-fresno","tag-fresno-headlines","tag-fresno-news
["GET
