(KGET) \u2014 The Kern County coroner\u2019s office has identified the man who died in a residential fire in April. <\/p>\n<p>Officials identified the man as 28-year-old Roy Anthony Pryor, of Maricopa. <\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson with the Kern County Sheriff\u2019s Office said Pryor\u2019s death is considered suspicious. <\/p>\n<p>The Kern County Fire Department will be investigating the fire, but KCSO will investigate the death, the spokesperson said. <\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kget.com\/plus\/\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n\t\tWatch 17 News, After Sunrise and more local news free on your smart TV. Click to learn more about KGET+\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Emergency personnel were called to a home on the 800 block of Madera Street in Maricopa on April 4, where they found Pryor deceased in the house around 6:10 p.m., law enforcement said. <\/p>\n<p>A postmortem examination was conducted and his cause of death was determined to be due to thermal burns and smoke inhalation.
