Authorities arrested a man with ammo and apparently monitoring security at Trump golf course near LA<\/p>\n
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. \u2014<\/p>\n
Authorities on Sunday arrested a man who was walking the grounds and appeared to be monitoring security planning at President Donald Trump’s California golf course two days ahead of the president’s visit.<\/p>\n
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the man was taking photos and video and had a 16-round magazine with ammunition in his pocket. They recovered a loaded pistol in his car.<\/p>\n
The sheriff’s department announced the arrest Tuesday as Trump was preparing to arrive for a fundraising dinner at his golf club outside of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old man was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm and possessing prohibited ammunition.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement searched his home Monday and found a plethora of firearms, magazines and ammunition, body armor, and notebooks with “concerning statements.”<\/p>\n
