The world capital of corporate vests and \u201cfoot condoms\u201d<\/a> has landed one of the world\u2019s top high-fashion events \u2014 as Vogue revealed San Francisco as the site of its Vogue World event next year. <\/p>\n

\u201cVogue\u00a0believes in celebrating cities, and San Francisco is a city like none other,\u201d said Anna Wintour, Cond\u00e9 Nast\u2019s chief content officer and the global editorial director of\u00a0Vogue,\u201d in a statement. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a place of diverse communities living side by side, a place that loves the arts, loves creativity, and isn\u2019t afraid of change.\u201d<\/p>\n

San Francisco<\/a> was once dubbed the \u201cland that style forgot\u201d by famed fashion writer Guy Trebay \u2014 as others have noted San Franciscans\u2019 love of Rockports, tech company T-shirts, \u201cdress sweatpants\u201d<\/a> and other fog-friendly attire. <\/p>\n

The Vogue World conference has made stops in fashion meccas New York, London and Milan, and next year\u2019s event will be its first stateside conference in years. <\/p>\n

\u201cI love that San Francisco has always stood up for its values, and the things it believes in. We think it\u2019s the perfect setting for Vogue World 2027,\u201d Wintour added. <\/p>\n

A \u201cVogue World: Hollywood\u201d event in 2025 brought together entertainers such as Doja Cat, Gracie Abrams, Nicole Kidman, Kendall Jenner, and other stars to the Paramount lot in Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mayor Daniel Lurie celebrated the Vogue event as a sign of the city\u2019s upswing after years of decline.<\/p>\n

\u201cCreativity and free expression have been the engine of San Francisco for generations, and that spirit\u202fwill be on full display at Vogue World\u202f2027,\u201d Lurie said in a statement. <\/p>\n
