(KGET) \u2014 A portion of the Kern River Parkway Trail has been temporarily closed due to possible aggressive dogs in the area, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>At around 5 p.m. Aug. 6, the Bakersfield Animal Control Unit received reports of several aggressive dogs along the bike path near the Chester Avenue Bridge, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Six dogs were safely contained and transported to the Bakersfield Animal Care Center, according to BPD.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"389\" height=\"264\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Screenshot-2026-08-06-181254.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3102124\" \/>Image courtesy of the Bakersfield Police Department<\/p>\n<p>More aggressive dogs could still be in the area.
