Saturday was the second day of the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco. To help ease traffic, attendees were advised not to drive to the festival, and the city offered extra Muni service and restricted Waymo pickups.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s the 18th year of the Outside Lands, and 75,000 fans are expected each day of the sold-out three-day festival.<\/p>\n
Extra Muni service will run before and after the festival in addition to regular service.<\/p>\n
There are designated rideshare and taxi areas, autonomous vehicles are restricted to rides a few blocks away from the festival; the plan comes a month after a drivers were caught in late night traffic on the Fourth of July in the city.<\/p>\n
Denise lives nearby and says the changes seem to be working.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it gets better and more efficient every year, it\u2019s been fairly quiet, I don\u2019t want to jinx it, however yeah it seems very organized as you can see its quite quiet I, would say the only time that it does get a little busy is when the concert ends around 9:30 p.m.-10 p.m.,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
