(KBAK\/KBFX)  \u2014 A man was killed Monday morning after being struck by multiple vehicles on 24th Street, several of which drove away from the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Police Department said on August 10th, 2026, at around 5:35 a.m., officers were called to the 24th Street bridge over the Kern River regarding a report of a pedestrian down in the roadway.<\/p>\n<p>When officers arrived, they found a man in the westbound lanes of 24th Street. The pedestrian had been struck by multiple vehicles, several of which left the scene without stopping, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"A man was killed Monday morning after being struck by multiple vehicles on 24th Street, several of which drove away from the scene.
