A group of AutoZone employees are forced to suffer after a frenzy of street takeovers in Los Angeles resulted in the vandalism and looting at of one of the shop’s locations twice in 24 hours.<\/p>\n

More than 100 vehicles swarmed the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday, causing chaos and destruction to the pavement and surrounding area.<\/p>\n

The rogue crowd, many with their faces covered, then took the opportunity to break into an already boarded-up AutoZone location and take off with unpaid merchandise, video showed.<\/p>\n

Sunday marked the second time the store had been targeted within just 24 hours, ABC7 reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The store’s windows were smashed and merchandise ransacked during another street takeover around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, leaving aisles strewn with looted merchandise.<\/p>\n

The AutoZone will remain closed for two to three days while workers repair damaged wiring and electrical systems, the store manager told ABC7. Employees will go unpaid during the closure.<\/p>\n

Social media personality Kevin Dalton posted video of the looting on X, calling the suspects “felonious hooligans” who hit the same store twice in 24 hours.<\/p>\n

LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes told City News Service that when police arrived, they found a large crowd, fireworks, and a car burning in the middle of the road.<\/p>\n
