Police in standoff with armed man on roof of south Sacramento apartment complex<\/p>\n

Sacramento police are in a standoff with an armed man on the roof of an apartment complex in the Parkway neighborhood on Monday. <\/p>\n

The Sacramento Police Department said officers responded to a report of a person with a warrant in the 20 block of La Fresa Court. <\/p>\n

Video from a KCRA 3 news crew shows a man on the roof with a large knife, as the area has a large law enforcement presence. <\/p>\n

At some point a fire was ignited in the area, which prompted a response from the Sacramento Fire Department. The fire has since been put out. <\/p>\n

Fire crews will remain on scene in case a fire reignites. <\/p>\n

Police said officers are on scene attempting to safely take the suspect into custody.<\/p>\n
