{"id":429763,"date":"2026-08-11T13:40:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T13:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/429763\/"},"modified":"2026-08-11T13:40:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T13:40:09","slug":"police-arrest-man-found-sleeping-in-car-blocking-i-75-in-oakland-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/429763\/","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest man found sleeping in car, blocking I-75 in Oakland County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Michigan State Police <a data-ylk=\"slk:arrested a felon;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mspmetrodet\/status\/2086922053332914351\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">arrested a felon<\/a> for drunk driving after finding the man asleep in his vehicle in the travel lanes of Interstate 75 in Oakland County on Sunday, Aug. 9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The 44-year-old Flint man was lodged in the Oakland County Jail on two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, open intoxicants, operating without securities (insurance), and operating while intoxicated &#8211; high blood alcohol concentration, MSP said in an Aug. 10 X post.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The man is a convicted felon out on bond on an operating while impaired charge, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Metro North Post troopers were dispatched at about 8:45 p.m. to I-75 near Clintonville Road in Oakland County after a report of a vehicle blocking the travel lanes, the MSP Second District said on X.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">When troopers arrived, they found the driver asleep. Troopers woke him, and found open intoxicants on the vehicle&#8217;s passenger seat, MSP said.
