(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office has listed th<a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/body-recovered-from-canal-near-south-p-street-in-bakersfield-kern-county-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">e body found in a canal near South P Street <\/a>as a John Doe.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/body-recovered-from-canal-near-south-p-street-in-bakersfield-kern-county-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Body recovered from canal near South P Street in Bakersfield<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Police Department said on Wednesday, August 5, at around 2:26 p.m., the department received a call for service, reported in the area of South P Street and Snyder Lane.<\/p>\n<p>Police said a man was found face-down in the canal. The man was pulled from the canal.<\/p>\n<p>The coroner\u2019s report said he was listed as a John Doe, with his age as \u201cunknown.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report said an autopsy was conducted and the cause and manner of death are pending.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis identity will be released when he is positively identified and next of kin notified,\u201d said in the coroner\u2019s report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
