(KGET) \u2014 A man was arrested after officials allegedly found a firearm and ammunition at a home in south Bakersfield on Monday, according to the Kern County Probation Department.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 10, officers with the county\u2019s probation department conducted a home call in the 500 block of East Fairview Road.<\/p>\n<p>Officers made contact with the man living there, who is on mandatory supervision and felony probation, according to officials.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"674\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"standard-img w-full w-full h-auto\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/9bbf1286-8b31-4432-94ed-9a03c3c64e91.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Photo courtesy of the Kern County Probation Department<\/p>\n<p>During a search of the home, officers found a loaded .31 caliber revolver and ammunition, probation officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The man was arrested for charges related to possession of a firearm as a felon, possession of ammunition as a prohibited person and violation of his supervision and probation, according to the probation department.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
