More than 1,700 San Diego Gas & Electric customers were without power across San Diego County on Tuesday. <\/p>\n
The majority of the impacts affected customers in the Torrey Pines to Solana Beach area, with another few hundred customers without power in the Pacific Beach area, according to SDG&E’s outage map. <\/p>\n
The cause was still unknown for most of the outages, although SDG&E did know the cause of one affecting the Mission Bay and Pacific Beach areas\u2014an object came into contact with an electric system. <\/p>\n
Those outages began between 9:20 and 10 a.m. and could last until 1 p.m. <\/p>\n

Another 150 customers were in the dark in La Mesa due to an outage that started around 5:20 a.m. for unknown reasons. Power was expected to be restored by 3 p.m. A handful of customers were without power in the Valley Center and Pala areas and in Campo, where an animal affected power lines, SDG&E said. <\/p>\n
