Paredes says information sessions are being held for Transformative Climate Communities.<\/p>\n
The program offers on-the-job and vocation training for applicants living in certain areas of Kern County.<\/p>\n
The information sessions will be held on August 20 and 27 from 9a.m. to 11 a.m. at America’s Job Center on Belle Terrace.<\/p>\n
There is also an upcoming information session for displaced oil and gas workers.<\/p>\n
The session is also taking place at America’s Job Center on August 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.<\/p>\n
Paredes also shared information on local job opportunities.<\/p>\n
Cazador Staffing is hosting a hiring event for positions available during the Kern County Fair.<\/p>\n
The event will be taking place on September 2 at the ETR Recruitment Center on Olive Drive.<\/p>\n
The company will be hiring barbacks and supervisors.<\/p>\n
All positions will be part time and temporary.<\/p>\n
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is also hiring medical transcriptionists.<\/p>\n
Minimum qualifications for the position include completion of a medical terminology course, 2 years of experience transcribing in a medical setting, and a certified typing speed of 45 words per minute. <\/p>\n
