{"id":432041,"date":"2026-08-13T20:06:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T20:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/432041\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T20:06:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T20:06:15","slug":"fire-breaks-out-at-san-jose-burger-king-the-mercury-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/432041\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire breaks out at San Jose Burger King \u2013 The Mercury News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN JOSE \u2014 Firefighters knocked down a fire at a Burger King restaurant early Thursday morning, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>The fire is under investigation by the San Jose Fire Department\u2019s Arson Unit to determine its cause and origin, said Jake Pisani, SJFD\u2019s public information manager.<\/p>\n<p>Fire authorities dispatched a firefighters to the Burger King, located on the 5100 block of Moorpark Avenue, at 5:15 a.m., Pisani said.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters utilized a defensive posture and aerial master streams to fight the fire, Pisani added. It was knocked down by 7:51 a.m. Firefighters brought it under control by 8:38 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities asked people to avoid the area while they fought the fire, noting that nearby traffic was impacted.
