Many of the franchise’s top players have joined the team either through direct selections in the annual draft or via trades executed on that day.

On top of this, the Thunder have selected not only several star players through the draft but also a number of notable alumni each offseason. A few colleges have been more prominently represented than others in sourcing those prospects, though OKC has always cast a wide net as well. Both prestigious programs and smaller institutions have consistently contributed high-caliber talent to the Thunder’s roster over the years.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at every player who has been drafted by the Thunder out of Cal State Long Beach.

Sam Robinson – forward

Draft year and position: 6th round (6th pick, 91st overall), 1970 NBA Draft

Need a news break? Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!

Seasons at Cal State Long Beach: 2

Seasons played with Thunder: did not make the team

Leonard Gray – forward

Draft year and position: 2nd round (8th pick, 26th overall) 1974 NBA Draft

Seasons at Cal State Long Beach: 3

Seasons played with Thunder: 3

All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.

Aug. 14, 2026, 8:00 p.m. CT The Oklahoma City Thunder have developed their team over the decades via…

[33
243,131,133,132,172115,20447,20448,509,1350,106591,379,500,11069,20449,1349,377,246
post-433348","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-long-beach","tag-accessfree","tag-long-beach","tag-long-beach-headlines","tag-long-beach-news","tag-sourceokc-thunder-wire","tag-sstssportsnbathunder","tag-sstsnokc-thunder","tag-tagbasketball","tag-tagcollege-sports","tag-tagevergreen-content","tag-tagnational-sports","tag-tagnba","tag-tagnba-draft","tag-tagoklahoma-city-thunder","tag-tagoverall-positive","tag-tagsports-news","tag-typestory
["GET
