If there\u2019s one thing shoppers around the globe are always searching for, it\u2019s French-girl style.\u00a0Who wouldn\u2019t\u00a0want to channel the effortless je ne sais quoi of Parisiennes? And perhaps no brand better embodies the classic, flattering and romantic aesthetic of Paris than S\u00e9zane. (I\u2019m speaking from experience: On my first trip to Paris last year, I hightailed it to the brand\u2019s flagship in Le Marais.) And while L.A. already has a handful of straight-from-Paris boutiques\u2014including It-girl sneaker brand Veja, which opened last year on Abbot Kinney\u2014it\u2019s now scored its very own permanent S\u00e9zane boutique.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2013 by Morgane S\u00e9zalory, the brand is beloved for its sweaters\u2014think cardigans buttoned up and worn as blouses\u2014dainty tops, flattering skirts, leather bags and chic totes. Over the past few years, the brand had popped up a handful of times in the upscale yet rustic Brentwood Country Mart, extending its stay each time due to\u00a0popular\u00a0demand, but this time it\u2019s here for good.<\/p>\n

Located at the southern end of the center in a red barn storefront, the shop officially opens today, August 14, and will be hosting an opening celebration all weekend long, with French treats to nibble on and a special gift with purchase.<\/p>\n

The reimagined petit boutique\u2014whose design was inspired by the idea of a jewelry box\u2014will stock a carefully edited selection of the brand\u2019s top sellers across every category. \u201cThis is S\u00e9zane as I have always imagined it,\u201d says S\u00e9zalory. In addition to the brand\u2019s famous sweater wall, with a rainbow\u2019s worth of cozy knits to choose from, there are curated styles on the racks from the fall\/winter ready-to-wear collection\u2014denim jumpers and skirts, silky dresses, frilly blouses and a covetable plaid trench. Note that there\u2019s only one of each piece on display, though, so you\u2019ll need to ask the staff to pull your size from the back.<\/p>\n

To further celebrate the new boutique\u2019s first week, S\u00e9zane is pairing the opening with a visit from its traveling retail concept, En Route\u2014a French take on the classic American road trip that\u2019s been traveling down the West Coast in a custom Airstream trailer. Inside, you\u2019ll find curated S\u00e9zane picks like the Gaspard cardigan (my favorite) and Justine basket bag, as well as some exclusive products. It\u2019ll stop at the Brentwood Farmers\u2019 Market\u00a0this Sunday, August 16, followed by a stop at the Hollywood Farmers\u2019 Market on Sunday, August 23.<\/p>\n
