{"id":434152,"date":"2026-08-16T00:08:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T00:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/434152\/"},"modified":"2026-08-16T00:08:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T00:08:21","slug":"new-york-beach-club-hits-the-market-in-major-atlantic-beach-property-sale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/434152\/","title":{"rendered":"New York Beach Club hits the market in major Atlantic Beach property sale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>          <img width=\"1318\" height=\"742\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/New-York-Beach-Club-by-day-in-Atlantic-Beach.jpeg\" class=\"img-fluid mb-4 wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why just rent a cabana when you can own the whole beach club?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorkbeachclub.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">New York Beach Club<\/a> in Atlantic Beach is up for sale, giving a potential buyer the chance to own an 8-acre private club on the Atlantic Ocean, an adjacent 2.75-acre parcel and roughly 775 feet of shoreline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sprawling property at 1751 Ocean Boulevard includes a heated pool, a separate children\u2019s pool, private cabanas, lockers, a bar and a full-service restaurant with oceanfront dining.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s emotional,\u201d owner Alex Jacobson told Greater Long Island. \u201cI put my life\u2019s work into this. We built a luxury brand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The adjacent 2.75-acre parcel of vacant land is already zoned for beach club use, according to Jacobson, potentially giving a new owner room to expand the existing operation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jacobson bought the nearly 95-year-old property in 2016 and said it has since become much more than a business to him. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His vision was to create a luxury resort atmosphere without having to leave New York.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s an experience like no other on Long Island,\u201d Jacobson said. \u201cThere\u2019s cabana service, palm trees flown in from Florida. You feel like you are in any high-end Caribbean beach resort, but you don\u2019t have to get on a plane to get there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jacobson said he takes pride in what the club has become.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve been throwing a party for 1,500 people every weekend for the last 11 years,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m satisfied with what we built, but I\u2019m excited to hand it off and continue to see it grow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The property is hitting the market as the New York Beach Club works its way through Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings following flooding at the property in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jacobson said the flooding and its financial aftermath ultimately led to the bankruptcy filing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe were a victim of a natural disaster,\u201d he said. \u201cThe site flooded, and that\u2019s what eventually led to us declaring bankruptcy. The lender kept our FEMA funds, which led to a lot of problems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/northgatereg.com\/properties\/new-york-beach-club\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/northgatereg.com\/properties\/new-york-beach-club\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Northgate Real Estate Group listing<\/a> describes the beach club as a turn-key opportunity, with an established operation and multiple sources of revenue already in place. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An asking price is not being disclosed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2084\" height=\"1008\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/New-York-Beach-Club-at-night-in-Atlantic-Beach.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-104750\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Photos: Aerial views of New York Beach Club by day and night in Atlantic Beach, N.Y.
