Person found shot near Sacramento County paint supply store, deputies say<\/p>\n

A person suffered at least one gunshot wound Monday morning near a paint supply store, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said.<\/p>\n

Deputies got a call from fire department officials around 8:30 a.m. about what was originally believed to have been a vehicle collision along Fulton Avenue near Edison Avenue, the sheriff’s office said.<\/p>\n

When they got there, deputies found the driver and had the driver sent to a hospital in unknown condition, the sheriff’s office said.<\/p>\n

As the investigation continues, the sheriff’s office said it learned that the original call of a vehicle collision was unsubstantiated. The person who was shot was walking in the area, completely covered and wearing a ski mask.<\/p>\n

The person would not give any information as to why they were there or give investigators any possible suspect description, the sheriff’s office said.<\/p>\n

Several deputies are still by Jerry’s Paint & Supply Inc., with crime scene tape blocking off the parking lot. <\/p>\n
