\n\tSamara Weaving<\/a>\u2018s \u201cX-Men\u201d era is fully loaded. The actress channeled her character Emma Frost in a look by Vivienne Westwood<\/a> at the D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase on Friday in Anaheim, Calif., where she joined the rest of her cast members for the introduction of the next iteration of the Marvel Comics property.<\/p>\n

\n\tWeaving\u2019s white minidress featured the British designer\u2019s signature punk edge<\/a>, with asymmetric straps, a rounded neckline and a form-fitting bodice. The skirt of the minidress included some definition at the hips, with a crisp, snowy color scheme \u2014\u00a0a nod to her \u201cX-Men\u201d character, who is also known as the White Queen, carried throughout.<\/p>\n

\n\tWeaving paired pointed-toe Gianvito Rossi<\/a> pumps with the white minidress. She brought some icy elements to her look, akin to her \u201cX-Men\u201d character Emma Frost, with a classic diamond bezel set tennis necklace courtesy of Sophia D jewelry.<\/p>\n

\n\tWeaving\u2019s D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase appearance on Friday marked the first publicity event for the actress as a cast member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe\u2019s take on the \u201cX-Men.\u201d Her character, a mutant, has powers that include telepathy and organic diamond transformation mutation.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe character was previously played by \u201cMad Men\u201d alum January Jones in the 2011 film \u201cX-Men: First Class.\u201d Costume designer Sammy Sheldon found inspiration from past drawings of the character and curated a wardrobe for Jones with several clothing pieces in all-white.<\/p>\n

\n\tWeaving\u2019s appearance in the next \u201cX-Men\u201d film is still a few years away, currently in pre-production for a 2028 release. The actress will join Christopher Abbott as Charles Xavier (aka Professor X), Inde Navarrette as Anna Marie (aka Rogue) and Adam Driver as Nathaniel Milbury (aka Mr. Sinister), among others.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe next phase of the \u201cX-Men\u201d franchise was teased with Sadie Sink\u2019s appearance in \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a>,\u201d in which the \u201cStranger Things\u201d alum plays mutant telepath Jean Grey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tMethod dressing has taken on a newfound prominence on the red carpet over the last few years, thanks in no small part to Law Roach\u2019s work with Zendaya, as well as the style streaks of stars like Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande throughout the \u201cWicked\u201d and \u201cWicked: For Good\u201d press tours.
