BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 A GoFundMe was created for a mother and two daughters who were killed in a wrong-way fiery crash on Highway 99 in Bakersfield early Sunday morning.<\/a><\/p>\n

The California Highway Patrol said on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at around 12:44 a.m., officers responded to a three-vehicle wrong-way crash on southbound Highway 99, north of 7th Standard Road.<\/p>\n

CHP said the crash involved a 2022 Honda Accord driven by an unidentified female, a white 2019 BMW 530i driven by a 44-year-old man, and a white 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by a 41-year-old woman.<\/p>\n

CHP said investigators are currently looking into which vehicle was driving the wrong way.<\/p>\n

As a result of the crash, the Honda immediately became engulfed in flames, and all three people inside died, according to CHP.<\/p>\n

According to the GoFundMe, the three people killed were identified as a mother, Vanessa, and her daughters, Kloie and Kylie, who were going home from Fresno after a concert. <\/p>\n

The GoFundMe said, \u201cWhat should have been a weekend filled with memories and a celebration of Kloie turning 17 has instead left a family trying to comprehend the loss of a mother and her two daughters all at once.\u201d<\/p>\n

The driver and solo occupant of the BMW sustained severe injuries, and the two people in the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries from the crash.<\/p>\n
