A former bartender has been sentenced to just one year in jail in connection with the killing of the longtime manager<\/a> of a famed San Francisco strip joint.<\/p>\n

Former Condor Club bartender Asia Morton, 26, will also undergo one year mandatory supervision over the killing of 60-year-old Marc Calcagni, according to her attorney.<\/p>\n

Calcagni was gunned down outside his Santa Rosa home and was found on Oct. 3 around 6:30 a.m. in a bike lane.<\/p>\n

Detectives believe Morton\u2019s boyfriend and colleague ambushed the victim after waiting for him to return home from a late-night shift. Linkedin<\/p>\n

Lund was later arrested at the couple\u2019s apartment complex in Dublin, where officers executed a search warrant and seized evidence tied to the slaying, officials said. Morton was\u00a0taken into custody at San Francisco International Airport\u00a0<\/a>after returning from international travel.<\/p>\n

She initially pleaded not guilty to being an accessory but later pleaded no contest. Lund pleaded not guilty and his trial will begin later this month.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors said Morton was \u201cinstrumental\u201d in assisting Lund by helping him get two vehicles for travel. She was in contact with him in the hours leading up to and after the murder, they said, and she facilitated a rental car return. She helped to discard items that Lund left behind.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe defendant\u2019s actions of lying about who the items belonged to and requesting they be thrown away were the continuation of a calculated and sophisticated series of events that culminated in the murder,\u201d prosecutors said.<\/p>\n

The killing may have been motivated by Calcagni\u2019s decision to fire Morton and Lund over suspicions that they were dealing drugs, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat <\/a>reported.<\/p>\n

The judge and prosecutors reportedly criticized Morton\u2019s statement of remorse at her sentencing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe letter really fails to take accountability at all and the letter is frankly inadequate with minimal remorse stated,\u201d Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Lynnette Brown said.<\/p>\n

Calcagni, a fixture in San Francisco\u2019s adult entertainment scene, managed both the Condor Club and Vanity San Francisco, another nearby topless joint, according to police and colleagues.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe became one of the Mount Rushmores of Broadway,\u201d Wolfgang Welch, who recently took over management duties at Vanity,\u00a0told the San Francisco Chronicle.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Condor Club opened in 1964 and calls itself America\u2019s first topless bar.<\/p>\n
