Rain has forced Tijuana Municipal’s Little League World Series opener against Australia to be postponed a second time.

And Sweetwater Valley Little League will not play at all.

Team Mexico will now play at 3 p.m. Thursday at Volunteer Stadium, Little League announced. The games between the Great Lakes and Mountain regions will take place at the same time at nearby Lamade Stadium.

Sweetwater Valley’s opener against Davenport, Iowa, will be moved to Friday.

Little League officials said details for that game, as well as the others originally scheduled for Friday, will be announced later Thursday.

The two teams’ schedules had been in flux since early this morning, with Little League officials initially announcing three-hour delays for the Tijuana Municipal (to noon) and Sweetwater Valley (to 3 p.m.). Then more rain came, forcing further delays.

Rain has forced Tijuana Municipal’s Little League World Series opener against Australia to be postponed a second time.…

[28
1697,34643,7,9974,181,74,84,76,75,3055,127,4931
post-438600","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-san-diego","tag-baja-california","tag-bonita","tag-california","tag-chula-vista","tag-latest-headlines","tag-san-diego","tag-san-diego-county","tag-san-diego-headlines","tag-san-diego-news","tag-south-county","tag-sports","tag-tijuana
["GET
