Animal control removed the horses from High Vibe Trail Rides after receiving multiple complaints alleging mistreatment<\/p>\n

MILFORD, Mich. \u2013 The owner of a Milford horseback riding stable is asking a judge to order Oakland County to return 38 horses seized last week following complaints about the animals\u2019 care.<\/p>\n

Oakland County Animal Control removed the horses from High Vibe Trail Rides after receiving multiple complaints alleging mistreatment.<\/p>\n

Stable owner Lucille Ptasznik has filed a lawsuit seeking the return of the horses<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In the filing, Ptasznik argues the animals were healthy and had access to food, water, and shelter.<\/p>\n

She also claims a veterinarian examined the horses about a week before Oakland County seized them.<\/p>\n

The county said animal control officers responded to allegations of abuse and that the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
