A San Diego mom\u2019s life changed forever after surgery left her with no blood circulation to her limbs \u2013\u2013 leading to doctors amputating her arms and legs.<\/p>\n
Leslie Caoili, 41, of Spring Valley, had gone for a routine heart checkup <\/a>in May when doctors found she was suffering from a\u00a0life-threatening Type A aortic dissection, a catastrophic tear in the main artery coming from her heart.<\/p>\n Leslie Caoili, a competitive strength athlete, lost her arms and legs following complications from emergency surgery.<\/p>\n Leslie Caoili competed all across San Diego as a strength athlete. GoFundMe<\/p>\n The mother of two daughters will soon be discharged from the hospital. <\/p>\n The Caoili family is trying to make their home accessible before Leslie returns from the hospital. <\/p>\n With no improvement in blood<\/a> circulation, doctors were forced to amputate her hands at the mid-forearm, as well as both legs. She has been in the hospital for a few months and will soon be discharged.<\/p>\n While her family is thrilled to bring her home, their house is far from ready for her current needs.
