{"id":442281,"date":"2026-08-24T20:24:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-24T20:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/442281\/"},"modified":"2026-08-24T20:24:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-24T20:24:13","slug":"ndot-asks-for-input-on-i-15-between-las-vegas-and-the-california-state-line","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/442281\/","title":{"rendered":"NDOT asks for input on I-15 between Las Vegas and the California state line"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAS VEGAS (KTNV) \u2014 The Nevada Department of Transportation wants to know what you think about the Interstate 15 corridor between Las Vegas and the California state line. <\/p>\n<p>The department on Monday announced the launch of a public comment period to solicit feedback about potential improvements to the area&#8217;s infrastructure. <\/p>\n<p>Public comment is open from August 24 through September 25 at <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.i15statelinesloan.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">I15StatelineSloan.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>There will also be an in-person public meeting where locals can share their thoughts on Wednesday, September 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at South Career and Technical Academy. <\/p>\n<p>In its news release, NDOT acknowledges that, while this I-15 corridor serves as a vital connector between the Las Vegas metropolitan area and Southern California, &#8220;much of this corridor remains underdeveloped.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Public input is vital to identifying the long-term needs of this section of I-15,&#8221; a department spokesperson wrote. <\/p>\n<p>NDOT plans to use the public&#8217;s feedback to develop an understanding of planned growth in the area and evaluate future traffic demands. <\/p>\n<p>Those who regularly travel I-15 south of the Las Vegas Valley are likely familiar with some of the issues drivers encounter on the road.
