(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office has identified a <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/21-year-old-woman-arrested-accused-of-fatally-stabbing-man-in-south-bakersfield-kern-county-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">man who died after being stabbed <\/a>as 24-year-old Kidon Dupree Perry of Bakersfield.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/21-year-old-woman-arrested-accused-of-fatally-stabbing-man-in-south-bakersfield-kern-county-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">21-year-old woman arrested, accused of fatally stabbing man in south Bakersfield<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Police Department said on Monday, August 17th, 2026, at around 3:30 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 400 block of White Lane for a report of a victim, later identified as Perry, suffering from severe injuries from stab wounds.<\/p>\n<p>Police said emergency medical personnel pronounced Perry dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>BPD homicide detectives began investigating and arrested 21-year-old Erionna Russel.<\/p>\n<p>Police said Russel and Perry knew each other.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
