(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 According to Kern County Public Health, the Pho Hut restaurant on California Avenue is closed due to a \u201csevere vermin infestation\u201d after roaches were found inside.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/phweb.kerncounty.com\/html5viewer\/?viewer=safe_diner_viewer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Violation Report,<\/a> the complaint inspection was conducted on August 20, 2026, with a score of 74%.<\/p>\n<p>The report said that when they arrived, multigenerational German cockroaches were seen inside the facility, on a food preparation surface, and on the floors and walls of the food preparation area.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, the facility was issued a closure.<\/p>\n<p>Pho Hut is located at 5404 California Avenue, near Lennox Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Before the August inspection, the previous inspection was held on June 25, 2026, with a 91% inspection score.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
