The Disneylan\/d<\/a> resort will close eight attractions for seasonal refurbishments as summer winds down and the busy Halloween season kicks off at the Anaheim theme park.<\/p>\n

Indiana Jones Adventure, Mad Tea Party, Tom Sawyer Island, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett\u2019s Explorer Canoes, Pixie Hollow and \u201cFantasmic\u201d will temporarily close in September for standard refurbishments and as part of seasonal schedules at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.<\/p>\n

The eight new attraction closures join the Frontierland Shootin\u2019 Exposition, Silly Symphony Swings and Main Street Cinema that were already shuttered for refurbishment.<\/p>\n

The Indiana Jones Adventure motion-based platform dark ride in Adventureland will be closed for an extended refurbishment from Sept. 8 through at least early October.<\/p>\n

The Mad Tea Party tea cups ride in Fantasyland will undergo an extended refurbishment from Sept. 14 through at least early October.<\/p>\n

The Tom Sawyer Island play area in the middle of Disneyland\u2019s Rivers of America will be closed to visitors on Sept. 14-16 for seasonal refurbishments.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFantasmic\u201d nighttime spectacular on Disneyland\u2019s Rivers of America will be dark on Sept. 1-3, Sept. 7-10, Sept. 14-17, Sept. 21-24 and Sept. 28-30 as daily showtimes during the summer season come to an end.<\/p>\n

Traffic on the Rivers of America at Disneyland will be disrupted with the Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and the Davy Crockett\u2019s Explorer Canoes out of commission in September.<\/p>\n

The riverboat will be docked and not carrying passengers on Sept. 8-11. The Columbia will be out of service on Sept. 1-4, Sept. 7-11 and Sept. 21-24. The human-powered canoes will be closed on Sept. 1-3 and Sept. 7-10.<\/p>\n

Pixie Hollow in Fantasyland will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays in September (Sept. 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24 and 29). The Disneyland character meet-and-greet area recently completed a 10-month refurbishment.<\/p>\n

The Frontierland Shootin\u2019 Exposition shooting gallery will reopen on Sept. 11 after a two-month refurbishment.<\/p>\n

The Silly Symphony Swings wave swing in DCA\u2019s Paradise Gardens will reopen on Friday, Aug. 28, after a four-month refurbishment.<\/p>\n
