The San Bernardino County Sheriff\u2019s Department is looking for a 26-year-old Orange County man who they say used a metal baseball bat to repeatedly strike a 71-year-old Crestline woman in her home, causing severe injuries.<\/p>\n
Erik Eduardo Navarro had temporarily moved in with the woman about two weeks ago. The Sheriff\u2019s Department did not have information Friday, Aug. 28, on how they met.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe attack stemmed from the victim asking Navarro to leave the residence,\u201d a sheriff\u2019s news release said. \u201cDuring the argument, Navarro struck the victim multiple times with a metal baseball bat at various spots on her body and kicked her several times. Navarro fled the scene before deputies arrived.\u201d<\/p>\n
Deputies went to her home on Straight Way around 6 a.m. on Aug. 25 after someone asked deputies to check on her. They found the woman suffering from a cut on her forehead, a cut eyebrow, swollen hands and injuries near her eyes that caused swelling that made seeing difficult, the release said.<\/p>\n
