Big rig dangles off bridge on I-80 after crash near the California-Nevada line<\/p>\n

A solo big rig crash led to the closure of eastbound Interstate 80 at near Truckee on Friday for several hours, the California Highway Patrol said.<\/p>\n

CHP said the big rig lost control on a bridge near Floriston in Nevada County, around 10:45 a.m., and the cab went over the bridge. <\/p>\n

The driver was ejected and hit the embankment below, leading to major injuries, CHP said. <\/p>\n

Traffic was first held at Hirschdale and then Overland Trail. <\/p>\n

As of 4 p.m., one lane was back open. <\/p>\n
